Creating custom email templates

Corpay Cross-Border provides a default email template that you can modify and use to invite payees to join Corpay Cross-Border Connections and share their banking information with you. You add your logo and signature to the template and make changes to the text. You can also create and save additional customized email templates. When you want to send an invitation to a payee, you can choose which template you want to use.

Note: Only users with the required permission can create and edit email templates. For more information, see Creating or editing a user profile.

To create a custom email template

  1. In the toolbar, under Admin, click Email Templates.

  2. The first time you use this feature, you should personalize the default template. Beside the Default Email Template, click the Edit icon edit icon.
    If you want to create an additional custom template, click NEW EMAIL TEMPLATE.

  3. Complete each of the areas on the template.
    Important: Do not change or delete the text that is enclosed by curly brackets { }. This is placeholder text which will be replaced by the system when you send an invitation to a payee. For example, the {{Link}} placeholder will be replaced by a system-generated link to the Connections portal. Each payee receives a unique link. When they click the link in the invitation email, they will be taken to the Corpay Cross-Border Connections page where they can create their account, enter their contact and banking information, and share it with you.

    Email Template NameEnter a name for the template.
    Email Template IdentifierEnter a unique identifier for the template. When you want to send a connection invitation, this is the name that will appear in the Invitation Template dropdown list.
    LogoAttach a file that contains your logo. The logo will appear in the upper right corner of the email. For more information, see Uploading a logo or signature file.
    SubjectEnter the text that you want to appear in the Subject line of the email that will be sent when you invite a payee to connect with you.
    Body

    This is the body of the email.
    When you use this template invite a payee to connect with you, you will be able to further customize the text before you send the invitation.

    Important: Do not change or delete the text enclosed in curly brackets { }.

    Signature Attach a file that contains your custom signature. The signature will appear in the lower left corner of the email. For more information, see Uploading a logo or signature file.

  4. Click PREVIEW to see what the email will look like. Be sure that the logo is appropriately sized.
    If necessary, you can click the DESIGN tab or click BACK to go back to the design page and make any required changes.

  5. Click SAVE.
    The template is added to the list on the Email Templates page. It is also added to the Invitation Template dropdown list on the Invite to Corpay Cross-Border Connections page.

Uploading a logo or signature file

You can attach log and signature files to your email template. We recommend that you use .png or .jpg format.

 There are two ways to attach a file:

  • Locate the file, and then drag and drop the file into the Logo or Signature section.
  • Click anywhere in the Logo or Signature section. In the window that opens, locate the file you want to attach. Then, either double-click the filename, or select it and then click Open.
